Where do I even begin with this wedding? It was so wonderful! I am so thankful that we got to come alongside this couple and their closest family and friends to capture and celebrate them becoming one in Christ. What an amazing blessing it was for my husband and I to be flown out to photograph such a special weekend. I am still in shock that it even happened and so glad there are photos to know it was a reality. I met Alex, the bride, through one of my past brides, Arielle. Turns out she was actually a bridesmaids and said she loved not only the final product, but my work ethic and how I made the entire day feel for everyone. I was so thrilled and encouraged by her kind words! At that time, Alex and her fiance, Alex (I know, the same name thing got tricky at times haha) were still deciding whether or not to have their wedding here in the states or in Cancun, Mexico. Clearly you guys know what ended up happening.. 🙂
When I told my husband that we were going to Cancun, he didn’t believe me! He, like myself, didn’t think that this was real and we were so honored and thankful. It was all he talked about for a few months and I loved seeing the joy it brought him. When we arrived at the Hyatt Zilara in Cancun we were blown away!! I had never seen blue so clear and sand so white. And the resort itself was so beautiful and the staff that worked there were so professional. We really enjoyed staying there and hope to stay again in the future! We flew in a couple of days before their wedding to ensure that we got there on time as well as to photograph their rehearsal dinner. That allowed us to learn the ropes while we were there and to scout out ahead of time where we anticipated doing their formals and romantics and what not.
Their wedding day was so dreamy and beautiful. We got the chance to photograph the guys playing on the beach before they got ready and it was so much fun. (You’ll see that below!) We had Alex, the bride, get in her stunning gown (courtesy of the one and only Bliss Bridal Salon) on the spacious patio of their suite with all of her ladies helping her. She had the most precious first look with her dad!! We were all tearing up by the time it was over!! Once it was ceremony time, we headed over to their gazebo and it was so intimate. I loved witnessing (and capturing) that moment for them. After the ceremony we played on the beach and got some gorgeous romantics of them and their wedding party. And the rest was all sorts of fun! Seeing their family and friends that traveled to celebrate them was really special. It was an amazing time and I am so thankful we were able to be apart of it. Thank you Alex & Alex for taking us along with you and for being such sweet people. Congratulations to you!! Lots of love, Hayle!
