City Club Fort Worth Ceremony-Haylea & Taylor
I cannot believe how lucky I am to have been this couples photographer. I didn’t meet Haylea or Taylor until after I had already met with Taylor’s mother. She was such a warm lady, we instantly connected. Months after booking, I met Haylea and Taylor for coffee, and was blown away by what a sweet and adorable couple they are. We planned their engagement session, at the Stockyards, which you can view here. And spent the day really getting to know each other and their expectations for wedding day. We also planned a gorgeous bridal session, at the historic Marty Leonard Chapel and the Fort Worth Botanical Gardens. It. Was. Amazing. Haylea is a hair and makeup artist, so of course she looked flawless! You can view her bridals here.
Haylea and her girls got ready at the gorgeous Worthington Renaissance Hotel in downtown Fort Worth. The day was relaxed and fabulous. We headed over to the chapel and things really picked up after that. I love to take advantage of whatever time I am given…and that means fun formals! We always set up for formal shots, but I will absolutely jump at any opportunity to let my creative juices fly! As the ceremony started, the tears began to fall…even from me! I have never seen a bride look at her husband as she walks down the aisle like Haylea did when she saw Taylor. It was really beautiful to see. Their ceremony was officiated by a family friend and was absolutely gorgeous, and I loved that they gave their mothers roses after the ceremony.
The reception space was spilling with pink! The wedding cake had a waterfall of roses and all of the details were gold a pink. It was really beautiful! The first couple dance transformed into the wedding party joining them for a fun dance-off! The father-daughter dance totally made me cry….I just can’t help it. Dad’s are the best! Taylor broke the cardinal rule…DO.NOT.SMEAR.CAKE.ON.THE.BRIDE. And although I was appalled, Haylea was smiling ear to ear! During the party, we stuck out for a few shots out on the City Club’s famous patio…and they spent the night dancing with friends and family! While their guests prepared for their grand exit, Haylea and Taylor had a private last dance. My favorite! They left their reception surrounded by those they loved the most and a cloud of bubbles…and off they went on a horse drawn carriage. I am truly thankful that this year brought me such a wonderful couple. I cannot wait to see what the future has in store for these two.
